A DEVICE TO PREDICT FAILURE OF A FUEL INJECTION PUMP IN VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF

A Fuel Injection Pump (FIP) is the heart of a fuel based engine system. The FIP is the responsible part of the engine system that pumps fuel into the combustion chambers of the engine. A re-manufacturing of FIP is often a part of fixing any big problem in an engine. A fixing of FIP can result in improved performance and a smoother operation. There may be various reason for FIP failure like low air/fuel ratio, overstressed, no start, dirty fuel, low fuel tank level, foreign object inside injector, a piece of dust, debris, bad injector timing etc. 

Prediction of early failure warnings in fuel injector pumps using intelligence data and applying machine learning algorithm.

Algorithm is applied using input parameters  like fuel level , engine speed , coolant temperature  and hydraulic pressure which is obtained by the  telematics device which sends data to cloud.

An intelligent based approach to estimate SOH and RUL for a lithium-ion battery 102 with unknown state is provided. The SOH quantity determines the age of a given battery. The RUL is the time required for the to reach 70-80% of its original value. The
controller uses advanced machine learning model based SOH-RUL estimation  of Li-ion battery which creates good business opportunity in battery operated electric vehicle (BEV) area and other industrial/home appliances using Li-ion battery. An integrated intelligent data driven model for SOH and RUL estimation is provided. The controller  and the method enables a comprehensive data analysis on aging 5 of the battery using a state of art algorithm for extracting features from this analysis. The past information on battery is not used or not needed, and hence the first characteristic parameter and the second characteristic parameter are evaluated and predicted based on the unknown state of the battery.

Most of the medium to high end vehicles are equipped with the Active Safety functionalities such as ESP. In the ESP, We shall have sensors such as Acceleration Sensor, Yaw rate Sensor, Master cylinder pressure sensor and others. Master cylinder pressure Sensor is crucial for successful functionality of the Safety functions. In low end Safety projects in which this Master cylinder pressure sensor is not available,
there is a physical estimation model provided within the software which will provide estimated value depending on the vehicle and wheel information. This model is not accurate when compared to the real
sensor data. According to our invention, the physical estimated model of Master cylinder pressure sensor, or the Real Master cylinder pressure sensor if available, can be replaced with the model which is trained using AI learning algorithms in case of any failures.
